Citizens Review Board For Children
One Unified Volunteer Voice for Safety, Permanency and Advocacy
The Citizens Review Board for Children (CRBC) was established by the Maryland State legislature as the Foster Care Review Board in 1978 to spur efforts to provide permanence in the lives of foster children. It consists of State and local boards in all counties. In 1999, the State Board was charged to oversee child protection agencies and to train 24 local citizens panels for child protection.
"On behalf of the Maryland General Assembly, I would like to sincerely thank the hundreds of volunteers that have given of themselves, their time and energy, to ensure that our most vulnerable population - our children in need of assistance - are secure and place in stable and loving families."
Honorable Casper R. Taylor, Jr.
Former Speaker of the House of Delegates
